So what's the generally accepted period of time you can leave your Le Mans stickers on for once you've got back from the weekend?

I'm going to remove mine this weekend but am considering leaving on the orange and white Viper stripes for now as I think they look great

Took mine off last night, just left a couple of 24 heures du mans, one on the roof and one on the rear wheel arch.

Just used a hairdryer on low heat, worked perfectly.

Ha ha! Well I'm a little OCD about keeping mine clean. Washed whilst at Le Mans (was entered in a car parade at the chateau where we stayed so had to look its best!)

I'm going to wash it, take some (more) pics for the record and then take most of them off

Not got round to taking them off yet as Mrs has been using the car all week. Went with a last minute safety car theme, surprising how many peopleback here ask if it actually WAS the safety car for last weekend...... a 5yo diesel BMW ...as if rolleyeshehe

Mine are staying on until after all the car events this year, so will probably come off after JAE. Or possibly November if I leave them on until after I've driven Anglesey in late October.

Either way, I'm in no rush at all. Still got some on there I put on for last years race!

My wife has become fed up of driving a pace car to the shops (it's not like she was keen in the first place), so she's insisting I remove them this weekend. Still, only 50 weeks 'til I put some more one.

I was following an Orange VX220 yesterday with the stickers on, looks cool to those in the know, otherwise it is starting to look a bit like a chav in an Escort tyring to look like Malcolm Wilson....

I love it for the race though, so cool.

Anyone else found those bloody Hella light deflectors from Halfords leave glue ste all over you headlamps??? its taken me ages to get it all off.....

I used magnetic sheets from eBay. Worked brilliantly and didn't leave any marks - even the small stickers had enough strength to not come flying off at speed. Means I can re-sticker the whole car in only 2mins and move/add things about! Also, not one person noticed the difference during the whole week and tried to nick one laugh

Anyone else use this sheeting?

Obviously those in Elises/VX220s/TVRs and other non steel cars will not be able too...

No no, I'm going to leave the stripes on for now. I have enough left over to do the main bonnet once I've taken off the PH LM 2009 sticker.

Which car were you in? I was a bit annoyed not to get a podium in the parade. Granted that 1970's Gordini was lovely but shouldn't have won. I'm not bitter, honest wink

I'm going to take the names off the side on Sunday.

Then maybe next week will take off the lemans 24 hr stickers

Possibly the week after that will remove the ear ptotection stickers off the rear.

Maybe the following week.....

You get the picture, I can make this last a few months with Viper stripes being last to be removed smile

Don't see the problem myself. I did that this week and the client I went to see came out for a look and we ended up chatting for ages about how his uncle now owns a Cobra that once raced at Le Mans. smile
