little help with 2010

have been le-maning for four years now and just had a question about le mans 2010.
we have always stayed on Houx Annexe and i think we are likely to do that again in 2010, but i was hoping there was somewhere we could register for tickets without having to buy the two race passes with them. as we always have about ten people commit to come in jan, which is usually about 20 by may. this used to be fine before allocated plots as we could just tell people to sort their own tickets, but now they are allocated and we need to be next to each other. the actual price of the passes was only 55EUR this year (and previous i think). where does that price apply? and is tehre anyone we can contact to pay this amount as then we could get more passes then we need at first and dish them out as more people say they want to come.

Don't understand what you mean. However, you usually have to buy two GA tickets in addition to each camping pass. But you can put as many people on the pitch as you can fit and just buy extra GA tickets when you get there.

i know about buying the tickets, about £200 for 2 x GE and one camping pass. that is fine, and when it was unallocated plots then people just bought them when they wanted to come. but now we have plots that are numbered we need to buy all at once, in jan or feb. problem we have is that a few (quite a lot) of our group didn't decide to come until later. this means to get a decent size plot together we need to buy in jan and all the people going need to cover this.
but on the actual camping permit it says that it costs 55 Euros, and i was wondering if anyone knows where we can get just the camping permits from, without the passes. as that way we could get more of them between less people and the people who decide to come late can buy entry tickets on teh door or something.
if people just buy as and when they decide to come we will end up with plots all over the place and not have our big group together.

Trouble is the ACO like to sell camping permits 'on block' to ticket agencies, it saves them having to deal with the public. The ticket agencies then add on their bit 
which hikes the price right up 
For example, if you wanted a camping permit in 'Houx' MRI would insist you also bought their Hospitality pack too! Not all ticket agencies are the same but they all do put their bit on
This year we applied very early on, Via email (in French) to the ACO asking for 2 pitches in Houx. They put us on a waiting list and ended up offering us Darion
Yet as people have said Houx was not full this year! I figure the empty plots were unsold tickets that the agencies did not manage to sell. Personally I hope some of these agencies get their fingers burned.

getting plots through an agent is no prob as longn as done early, tickets 2 u were great last year, but the problem is that we will have 20 odd people and need ten plots, but one person, or ever two or three, forking out the £2000+ is a bit much. just a pain that you need to buy the race tickets with the permits or itb would be fine. When it nearer the time you should have a good idea of who is going and who is not! If you then need to sell stuff off theres always the Le mans ticket thred on pistonheads or eBay! If you sell the stuff at the same price you paid it should go

You don't _need_ to be together... I'll agree it makes it less hassle and quite good fun, but as long as you've got one main site, the others can come and congregate there...
Alternatively
1) tell everyone that if they don't commit early enough they will be on their own.
2) Book two tranches
3) Book too many and pay for them, any unused can be sold on

I didn't Know that! Yes, I have used MRI a number of times, including their marquee as you say down near Maison Blanche. I did not do so this year...I joined the ACO and then I did my own arrangements for our usual package, and reduced costs by around £650 all up for two people! I heard about MRI pulling their hospitality about 10 days before the event, so I guess many MRI users were a bit pi**ed off by this.
