Been to each Le Classic so far and we're getting all set for 2010.
Hotel for my son and I is already booked.
ACO say the tickets will not be for sale until September so I'm geared up to make enquiries to fix them up in around a month (I'm an ACO member). Will be looking for seats in the ACO grandstand (plus paddock passes) for 2010 which will be a change from Le Sarthe tribune we've used previous years of Le Classic and le 24 heures.
Might have to give le 24 heures du Mans a miss next year..feeling cold turkey symptoms already! I don't think Le Classic is a satisfactory substitue for sportscar racing, good event though that it is.

Interesting.......I thought the Classic only had MB, KN and BSJ as available campsites. Maybe they're expecting a bigger crowd and need more space for 2010. I'll be there again of course and hope the Vette makes it without busting up it's u-joints.
The cobra mob will be attending as per the last few years, although our 72 cars last year may take some beating but the general consensus is that there will be a whole big bunch of us again, not sure if we are going to occupy one side of MB again or not, depends on what we can negotiate really.

I've already booked all 18 rooms of a small hotel not far from the track for the Jaguar boys and am constantly getting enquiries about accomodation from friends. Needless to say the house is already full and tents in the garden! I'll not be around and about much since we are racing the C type so will be pretty occupied I guess. As a guide, I enquired at a hotel 8 miles from the track and they are trying to hold people to ransom even for the Classic it seems - over £1,000 for the four nights room only. If you don't want to camp but fancy B&B contact the Le Mans Tourist Office - they speak english. I also have a friend who has a house a few miles from Arnage he might not have let yet - can sleep over 10 people I believe.

Some clubs booked whole campsites last year, tertre Rouge was Triumph so you could only get tickets from them originally, similar situation for MG, Morgan I think, but with a few weeks to go E bay was full of tickets at all of the campsites. I stayed on MB rather than my usual TR nice and close to the track but miles from anywhere.
Ahhhh....interesting, I never knew that. We spent a while at TR corner listening to the Howmet TX and if we'd known TR campsite was full we might have had a wander in to view the motors.Where can I get tickets for the 2010 event?
Went to le mans (regular) last year and enjoyed it but there was a big chav element.
Classic sounds fun, and I prefer classic cars. I will be bringing a TVR Chim and a friend is coming in a 68 Corvette. Where do people recommend we camp - we camped at Maison blanche last year at regular le mans? Is there a classic only enclosure? Will we be able to get into it in our cars?

Classic sounds fun, and I prefer classic cars. I will be bringing a TVR Chim and a friend is coming in a 68 Corvette. Where do people recommend we camp - we camped at Maison blanche last year at regular le mans? Is there a classic only enclosure? Will we be able to get into it in our cars?

There are only a few of the campsites open for the Classic because numbers are about 1/3 of the main 24 hour race but keep your eyes peeled for the start of bookings. There is no classic only enclosure since the majority of people come in "collectables" as I prefer to call them - some are only a year or two old. Internal parking is usually by club (we are joining ranks with the french Jaguar club for example). If you are an ACO member you get internal parking rights though.
