Getting on the full track?

Obviously we all know you can get on most of the track on Friday when there is no on track action but usually the Ford Chicance/Pit Straight/Esses are all still shut off and in recent years Arnarge/Indy has also been shut.
I was just wondering however if anyone had ever managed a full lap of the track? Maybe in the wee small hours of Friday or Saturday morning when no ones about?
I'm sure I've see pictures of people parked up outside the pits before?

From what I have seen the JCB's etc soon move the concrete blocks back into place as soon as the race/practice is finished.
I walked from Tetre Rouge to just past the first chicane (the McDonalds roundabout) on the Mulsanne after the race this year, and they were putting all the roundabout & barriers back in place. That must have been within half an hour to an hour of the race finishing.I got my car onto the Dunlop Bridge/Esses/Tetre Rouge section immediately after the race in 2006. I could have driven right onto the pit straight (the wrong way) but bottled it.

This is only separated from the the Esses by temporary fencing like they use on building sites, with a gap for the track marshals and support vehicles to go through. As soon as the race finishes said marshals head for the hills leaving the gap in the fence unattended.

At the classic you can do the whole track, I did it a few years back in the Cerb. generally its a precession of classics and organised through one of the clubs, but you can get tickets. I paid about £40 and did four or five laps, an amazing experience.
The only rule was not to overtake the pace car, so if you wait at the back of the grid for a bout 5 mins after the start then go for it you shouldn't hit much traffic and everything will be nicely warmed up by the time you approach the grandstand at the end of the first lap.
Roaring through the stands full chat was just awesome and as for the Mulsanne...well words can not express, I thought my spine was going to poke out of my back....Apart from seeing my lad born it has to be the greatest experience of my life.

Done the full track at the first classic in my then 355. I know exactly what cooky means.

The track passes or 'parade' laps as they were called were organised through the TSSC (Triumph Sports Six Club) AFAIK they were pre-ordered along with our camp-site and pit passes. This was all organised as a club event. As stated I paid about £40 from a fellow member who decided that he didn't fancy it.
We went to the Classic about 5 years ago with the TSSC and camped at Tetre Rouge. Unlike the yearly event the amenities were outstanding and we could access the pits grandstands and most other areas 24/7.
Also driving in and out of the circuit was a doddle with the camping pass.
I doubt that you can get a track pass without being part of an attending club, however a phone call to the le mans circuit may help. That said I'll be going to France sometime in the next few weeks and intend to call into the circuit shop.
