I have been checking their website for the last week or so and they have just started listing the sailings from March, just booked mine for the Portsmouth - Caen route

Roll on the 9th June 2010

I hope that they confirm it as that date, or can you change without penalty?

The date of the race is 12th June as confirmed on the ACO site

Their sailing times from Plymouth are all to f--k. Might have to have a rethink on the route.

eta: I think you'll find that is a provisional date on the ACO site not a confirmed date. In other words they have to get confirmation from the Mayor, chief of police, etc ,etc before it's a goer.

Yep, all booked up for the same route. Going on the Tuesday overnight crossing, return Sunday night after the race. Also booked up for the Classic go Wednesday, return fast ferry Sunday avo.

And we don't have to pay the balance untiul next April!

I have not known the ACO put it up on their website before it is all agreed with the local Mayor/Police etc, but we all know the French!

I thought that was what they did every year and that it was never confirmed until late October/November. Could be wrong though.

Personally I hope it is 12/13 as that means my wife won't have to go to Spain the following weekend with all our mates, by herself!

I've only been going for the last 6/7 years and have not known it change from the provisonal dates, but I can't say it has never happened

Well the AOC are selling tickets for that weekend. The date of the Classic is fixed well in advance so I can't see how they have to wait for the mayor etc for road closures. The official line is that it has to be agreed with the FIA avoiding other world events F1 etc. I'm sure the AOC would love to fix the date earlier then they have more time to sell all the tickets etc.
