Camping away from the circuit
Discussion
I'm interested in feedback from those of you who camp away from the circuit on what sites you go to and the facilities available.
While we always camp at the circuit for the main event, we're also going to the Classic event this year and want a bit more luxury than we're normally used to. Shade and swimming pool wouldn't go amiss.
Thanks

For the classic (it's in July this year isn't it?) there should be hotel rooms aplenty in the town. search on www.accor.com as a starting point.
Just checked: 24-25th July, still rooms at the Novotel and the 2 F1 hotels.

Club Valan is good - proper campsite, fully catered, s/pool, showers and decent crappers (english run) and they bus you in to the circuit so you can drink!
They operate for all three 24 hours. Can`t remember the website but a google should find them - they`re nice people.
Callander Classics also do this although I`ve never used them but they seem to be good.

just south of arnage about 8km away from the circuit, this is a proper camp site, run by Brits, brick built shower and toilet block with meals provided friday-sunday and secure parking...
been there for 2 years now and after smelling 'camping bleu' last year doubt we'd go anywhere different...
it is reasonably costly though but you get so much more than a "official" campsite

Has anyone else stayed at club motorsport site (Gareth I have e-mailed you separately) I too am fed up with many of the LeMans campshites!! Especially year after year being dumped ( pun intended !!) in Beausejour or camping merde as we call it !! Do you feel out of the action when you are away from the circuit itself ??
Does the coach service run regularly?
