Thinking of going to Le Manns
Discussion
If you don't mind me asking, who did you go with before? As for next years race (this years has been and gone) all the better campsites will be sold out by now, although picking up a spare camping pass or two nearer the time is usually an option. If your happy to go to one of the campsites outside the circuit (Expo, Bleu Nord etc) you should still get passes ok. General Entrance tickets are pretty much the same price whether you buy before or at the gate.
We always sail P&O from Dover to Calais (they are offering discounts if book before 22nd Dec), but as your coming from the North West, Portsmouth will probably be a closer crossing point.

How hard is it to get the spelling of the place correct? I mean, I can forgive the non existent punctuation. But the place is the title of this forum FFS!
Book your ferry with whoever you like. It's not like you're short on time. This year we went via Ebay. Honestly, we had nothing booked and bought all our GE and camping passes off Ebay. You have to hold your nerve and not panic, but there are always tickets available for pretty much anywhere from late April onwards. We paid roughly the same as via an agent too. Bottom line is you only need worry about camping passes. GE tickets are available on every gate.

Where do you get the £84 return quotes for Eurotunnel GT6? On their website I'm getting nothing cheaper than £98 return and that's travelling between midnight and 6am.
I think you need a short stay deal which is 4 nights or less. We're looking at this option so will probably go Thurs AM just after midnight and back on Monday.FredericRobinson said:

We usually travel down on Wednesday Morning and return Sunday night, I have just looked again on the eurotunnel site and £42 before 8.00am on Wednesday and the same £42 back on Sunday after 10.00pm.Gassing Station | Le Mans | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
