ACO membership - advice needed!

Having called the ACO today - for the third time in under a week and being told to "call back tomorrow" because on their English hotline they have no-one that speaks english ......im now getting annoyed and need some advice!!!?

Basically we are a party of 12 that are going to the classic.

We all want to get into the ACO stand - old guys in party want the comfort etc. ( aka , )

I know its two people per one membership in ACO stand. Membership is 97 euros. So 6 members needed.

How much discount do you get off:

Entrance Tickets to classic?
Paddock Tickets to classic?
ACO grandstand ticket to classic? (do you pay?)
Camping tickets to classic?

As you can see - trying to figure out whether the discount on tickets offsets the price of membership (or close to it)

If anyone could help that would be great.

As an ACO Member I Got

2 weekend at 41 euro each so 82 euro
1 parking Blanc at 15 Euro (again maybe all gone)
Paddock entrance FREE
ACO Tribune (Grandstand) at 15 Euro each so 30 Euro (I expect they will now be all gone)

They charge 17 Euro for postage, I always collect, then free.

Also access to the ACO areas, like good loos (well better)



I did think it was six entrance tickets per membership ( the two only for ACO grandstand)

I don't camp have a Hotel so can't comment on camping

Ditto exactly as NormanD, and I also suspect that all the ACO tribune seats have now gone. However, I heard that the ACO are allocating ACO member seats in the adjacent two trubunes as well, one of which is Sommer I think.

Definitely Le Classic 2010. Tickets etc already sorted via ACO.

Unfortunately, son and I cannot make 24 Heures du Mans next year.

Remember that the Classic is not organised by the ACO so the discounts are not as good, eg only 4 tickets not 6 at members discount and I think it is only on general admission not paddocks etc. In 2008 the ACO tribune was not reserved it is first come first served but not so busy.

My son and I had free access to the paddock at Le Classic in 2008. Seems some did, some didn't as per leyorkie's experience. There's no doubt we're getting it free for 2010 as per the ACO's invoice I've received.

If I remember you have to book before the cutoff date

Could be why we paid. Usual delays with who is coming etc and tickets bought on the day. Will call in next week and buy my allocation.
Have noticed, and there are other threads, that the Classic is getting more and more expensive. Why?
