Thanks for reminding us there are wa spermers who go to Le Mans. Flash car cant drive thinks hes the dogs danglers. He (or she) instead of looking at the road was probably reading Nuts or ChavPower mag. Imaging if that car wasn't parked there and they hit someone. Not so funny then is it ?

Its an English Seat it hits aswell!

- I have seen this before, but it was a while ago. I think its on the Mulsanne Corner to Arnage just before Indianapolis.

Thats one of the reasons why the Gendarmes close it on the friday now.

I was stood about 50 metres from that, it must have been in 2000 ish... Story at the time was it was two English chaps in a hired French Ferrari.. They legged it form the scene, but AFAIK they did come good on the insurance/pau out for the Seat...

No idea if it was true or not.

Those were the days, pre chav element. He got it all wrong, but until that had happened it was always good humoured at Arnage/Indy with some very exotic machinery around showing what they could do..

Memories of Arnie in his Caterham, Joe on his R1, Martin in his Europa, The white Bull Lambo etc...

Does it give you any idea as to why they now close the Mulsanne/Arnage road on the Friday? The police got truly fed up with the antics of the few and puling cars out of the gravel at Indianapolis. It's a pity that the behaviour of the few ruin the occasion for the many. I won't use the Mulsanne now on the Friday because of the problems - someone two years back threw a bottle at my D-type but thankfully it missed. Similarly the Chemin aux Boeufs is a definite miss the Friday night.

Mind you could have been a lot worse, of all the cars in that line to hit.....

i'm amazed people have not been mowed down before... especially the crazy roundabout mad friday action!

When I watched a bit last year, i made sure I was stood on one of the large boulders at the side of the road, ready to jump behind it.

I tend not to watch all the mad friday stuff. Just caught a bit leaving the track early friday afternoon. Some is amusing, but generally not my cup of tea. I do not like other people dis respecting others property or rights.

I had heard the people in the ferrari were tracked down and arrested having left the scene.

We were there, saw the guy in the Ferrari driving around holding the busted up wing out of the window after the stop it coming off, couldnt believe it.I have VID of it somewhere. I heard it was a hire car as well, just after that a load of lads did a mega burn out in a Vectra all sitting on the window cills, and the gear box blew and dropped loads of oil on the road / track right at the bend.

A couple of years ago a Corvette and I think an M3 collided on the Mulsanne on Friday am.....mess every where...

Likewise, when I watch it near Blue Sud/Maison Blanche I always make sure I have the ditch and a good part of the bank between me and the road.

Last I read it was a couple of Dutch guys who hired it for Le-Mans.
