Statics on Le Mans

Over a couple of pints yesterday I was trying to persuade my friend to come LeMans with us this year. Just throwing as a guess I said it attracts 3,000,000 spectators each year. Would you says that’s an accurate educated guess?

I wouldn't say 90,000 of 250,000 was a majority, no.
There are more Brits than any other foreign nationality though, there's no way of knowing exactly, but anything from 50 to 80,000 gets quoted.

2008 broke all records for tickets sold at 258,000 of which 120,000 went to the British. Last year was down to 235,000. This year they are thinking the same with the financial worries.

It must be very difficult to give an accurate breakdown of visitors, overall numbers are easy but overseas visitors are much harder to calculate, we buy most of our tickets at the circuit so they would register as local.

In recent years I have noticed big rises in the Dutch,Danish and Norwegian visitors but around the campsites and at the circuit the Brits still appear to be the most numerous.
