Discussion
Hi
Two things!
1) Decided to go to Classic Le Manns in my Tripos R81 ( What?)Ok its got no roof, but hey it's my big half Century year and planned it (vaguely) for years, but now NO EXCUSES! so help, need mentoring on the whole process, and yes I'v read all posts, so getting there, but am I too late?
2) I am developing a tent in China that fits a TVR/Lotus 7/ Kit car in, and has 2 X 2 berth compartments, fulfills all legislation on safety, and looks cool. ( pics to follow).
Can I have your oppinions on the concept please, before I spend a fortune!
Is it
A Toptastic we all want one.
OR
B. Right lemon
Your opinions and help are much appreciated!
Cheers
Martin

Oh right, sorry. I guess i should try and add something a little more constructive then.
Would this tent work out cheaper or more expensive than a normal tent plus your average car cover?
Do you always have the ability to park where you camp. Where we stay for Le Mans the parking is away from the camping area.

Are you thinking along these lines ? http://fr.decathlon.com/t6-3_117_1232053.htm#ancre...
As you can see 5 metres long and space to one side for 2 people and you can buy them just off the circuit at Decathlon.

Hi
Thanks for your posts.
Clearly size matters! Within the confines of a small sportscar storage is at a premium, and the bag will be rugged enough to mount extenally, say on a boot rack ( bit old school), but with 2 up footwell space is limited so cookers, 12v cool boxes etc are out. Even Elise or VX2200's are not generous to say the least.
The design brief has been to max space, min storage, offer true garage space for some maintainace aspects, but mainly for shows and meets, where you want to look after your ,'baby' n pamper it more than a car cover.
We already have one for a motorbike! I hope to have visuals soon, Chinese New Year today , which has slowed progress.
Keep posting issues and drawbacks, and YES the decathlon design link has the basic layout, but new roof design, and rainworks up top.
Cheers

Before trying for new ideas, shouldn't you get the old ideas and website viewable first?

) then I'm sure people will be interested, but I can't help thinking there are limits on how small it could be when packed up, particulatly if it's a two room tent.
