I understand that the ACO have decided that as long as they can get the Braodcasting rights that they will be showing World Cup matches around the circuit. No decision has been taken on where the TV`s will be situated.

This will be a major change from other years, this will include the England USA game. If I get any further information I will post it on the forum

hehe

To me, this could be an epic day. Watch the start of the race for a few hours, couple of beers/wines with friends, watch England in the World Cup and then resume spending the night watching cars racing. Perfect, with a capital F. biggrin

Have to agree with ya there, a break from the 24hr race is always a good idea, in 2008 I didn't stop once other than to get more beer, when I eventually did make it back I was named 'Le Mans tramp'

You can't be a true motorsport enthusiast if you like football, don't you know!

rolleyes

So, because I have a season ticket at Old Trafford means I'm not a fan of motorsport ? Really ?

Even though I drive my TVR Griffith 500 to Le Mans every year and attend Oulton Park regularly for spectating and track days, amongst other Motorsport events ?

Get a grip.

Le mans "weekend"..... No football of any kind (tv, conversation) ..... Now that is perfect.

I wouldn't even expect ACO to put GP qualifying/race on big screens if they clashed, even though that is motor racing.

Not really the same thing is it? 1 of 19 F1 races on the calender (and hardly the most anticipated one) vs the biggest tournament of the most popular sport in the world.
