LeMans Classic - Meeting?

Ok, who's going to the Classic Le Mans and fancies a meet for a beer?

The BOG Club will be there - usually here...

This is the bar just south of the Mulsanne corner in Mulsane...

Is this on the N138? We'll be arriving on the Thursday but no plans yet.

I'm always up for meeting up. The only thing with the Classic I guess is that it's a lot shorter than the 24hr with more time spent watching the racing and practice. If a meet is arranged and convenient then I'd meet up for sure.

We're aiming to be at the bar at Arnage, by the level crossing, opposite the house with the goats, on Friday afternoon, and will probably be back there on Sunday evening to eat as well. Last time with the TR6 mob was excellent (we 5 were in a 1929 Pontiac . . .) Be great to meet up with any other PH'ers.

As there are 6 of us in 3 cars it'll be a combination of 3 bods in a 996 cab, a 365 GTC or a BMW coupe. We just may, try and get 6 into the 996 for the run from Maison Blanche to Arnage . . . . . .

We'll be well up for meeting up with some folk....been going to the regular lemans for years (i cant make it this year as the missus has planned our wedding for that week...bugger) but never seem to get to meet up with any other Brits whilst there......hope to make the classic a good one to remember

We'll either be in a '79 Transam, a 86' 3dr Sierra Cossie or a tank of a Mitsy GTOtt.....counting down the weeks now

I hope so but I have so much to do this year what with press passes and lots of photos to take but if it is on the Friday lunchtime quite possibly. Thursday a meeting, Saturday and Sunday the race so it'll have to be then I reckon unless we meet up one evening.

Edit: Can you remember which year we met and which event so I can see if I have photos of you all in the rain?

lowdrag - I'm the guy in the S4 7. I think it was the 2007 Le Mans race, either on Friday early evening or Sunday after the finish. Be good to see you and the Jag again!!!

Yes, and the funniest bit was watching you lot taking the tonneaus off and all the water going into the cars! Let's hope for better weather this year. It is forecast to be 28C in the shade tomorrow

Umm yep, we did get a tad wet! It was the Thurs lunch before the 2007 race, we left to go to Arnage for a meal, managed to get the bar owner tp park the 7's under the awning

Hope to see you on the Fri lunch in July

ETA - not jealous at all of the 28C over there, the real men here are set to enjoy 11C and rain at the weekend
