When Do You Start Stickering ?

Indeed is there 'a time' when it's considered acceptable, before which it's considered social suicide ?

Bit late if you ask me. I bought the only new sticker for 2010 and added it about 2 weeks ago. The rest are still on from about 2006.

We usually do ours the weekend before we go. Only thing I would say is the longer the stickers are on the harder there are to get off. We left a gulf stripe on a car one year and half the lacquer came off with it after 3 weeks on the car. Be warned!

I had my Gulf stripe on last year from about now until October and had no problems at all removing it. It only left a tiny glue residue where the edges were that was easily cleaned off.

use a hairdryer to warm the vinyl before removal, that method should only leave a small amount of adhesive residue on the car if the correct grade of vinyl is used

The hair dryer worked perfectly last year when removing a couple of large stickers from Hollographics.

No problems and no residue either.

I know it's sad but it makes it feel more real when the stickers come - or is that just me?

I've still not ordered my stuff from Hollographics, but I don't normally sticker up 'til a couple of days before I head west from Luxembourg to La Sarthe.

I should have ordered the stickers already since there was ~30% off if you ordered early, IIRC.

I've had no issues with residue, but the stickers usually come off a couple of days after I get home, i.e. when I've got enough energy to clean the damned thing again!

No, Not fixed, but the weeding is done... and there's some roof panels that can be done for fun in the mean time...
