Spent a bit of time browsing the web this weekend and came across this:

Looks like it could be interesting for those of us who can't make it to the real thing. Does anyone know much about this? Is it a regular fixture? Is anyone going?

For those in the North West who aren't going to the greatest race on Earth, this looks like an excellent effort to bring the race and its atmosphere to good ole Bolton! I will be in Le Mans but IF I wern't I'd be there

apparently Bolton is twin'd with Le Mans town.

I'm surprised it hasn't had much publicity. The website looks half finished, haven't seen anything in the press.

I'm sure it has the potential to be a top event, but only if they can get the crowds in.

"This Bolton Le Mans Motorsport Festival is the first year it is to be run . .and will be held annually at the same time as the famous Le Mans 24 hour race to celebrate the twin town status of Bolton and Le Mans. .the event is supported by the Le Mans related companies including Audi,Peugeot,Porsche,Jaguar, Aston Martin and Mercedes and will feature a host of attractions over the weekend . .each day will end at approx 8pm . . we are expecting up to 50k visitors to the FREE Festival over the 2 days . . .our aim is to make Bolton the UK venue for Le Mans who don't want to trek to France !!"
