hi all, me and the old man are going for our 8th year this year, its great as we get to spend quality time together and love many beers. however my main problem is that there is only two of us!

is anyone staying in houx this year that will let us camp with them for more of that party atmosphere that we've been missing for many years??

travelling down wednesday and we'll be leaving sunday night.

thanks in advance

When you say camp with them, do you have your own plot(s) yet or are you looking to squat (in a nice way of course) with others ?

Get yourself along to the various PH meetups and you'll find a few people.

There's a gaggle of us going from God's county and camping in Houx, more than welcome to come over and say hello. We're there from Wednesday until Monday am.

Funnily enough my Dad was, and having lived there myself, Medway area, I can safely say that God would not own, nor visit, anywhere that included Chatham, Gillingham nor, Lord forbid, the Isle of Sheppey. Shudder.

We're unnumbered in Houx this year, will be there from Wwednesday and leaving after the race on Sunday.

There'll be a yellow Griffith, black Griffith, green Cerbera and a silver beetle (stop sniggering - driven by a lady)

Team Peach Melba, feel free to wander over and say hi, we're gathered quite a few members over the years exactly through this kind of casual commitment to a beer . .

You forgot Greenhithe.

Yes Jerry, just like Yorkshire, we have some sh*t areas too.....

Are you by any chance going with the TVR Club ? If you are, I may be in the same bit as you.

Not in North Yorkshire we don't!

Yes, although as the club had no tickets we've had to go off piste, so not sure where we are in Houx this year.

Just to clarify b3kaw, when you say camp mates, do you mean Dale Winton and Alan Carr ?

Pardon? what is wrong with Greenhithe? I used to live there and it was superb, had a house facing the Thames with a splendid view of the Queen Elizabeth Bridge wink

Chatham has its rough bit but the historic dockyard and St Mary's island are nice.

I think there are some 'specialised' clubs and pubs, probably some in your local area, if that is what you are seeking!
