Difficult question. I know you need bulbs for the drive down to carry in the car, but I have angel eyes up front which cannot be replaced without a new ring.

I also have sealed 1 peice rear light units which consist of 10's of LED's.

I assume I am not expected to take a new angel eye ring and a complete set of light clusters. Do the French police understand this or will they just try to slap a fine on anyway?

Word on l'avenue is that if you take a spare bulb kit, providing it is in the car, they couldn't care less if they are actually for that car or if you have the tools to fit them with...

I think the set of bulbs I carry round in the car when in France originally came from a Peugeot 504. Not sure how much use they would be if needed in the present car, but at least its something to show monsieur Plod should he ask.

Not bothered for the last 2 cars that I've taken to LM as they were both Jap imports and had no markings on the lens, but now I've got a UK spec car I will be getting some smile

It's really out dated as it is impossible to change bulbs on lots of modern cars, but there is still the requirement to carry them. All new cars sold come with bulb kits but they don't check for them on the equivalent of the MOT.confused
