Is it as straight forward as either Peugeot or Audi or is there a surprise on the cards ?

I voted for Audi because they seem to have done quite a lot with the car compared with Peugeot although I think it will be quite close between them. I would really like the Lola Aston's to win - the noise is cloud9

Peugeot, I think they will have the edge but expect a close race, I wish I could say Beechdean or Drayson though smile

I'm pretty sure Audi will be going all-out to avoid a repeat of 2009. And 2008 wasn't looking pretty until the rain came. I also think Audi have been keeping something back in terms of not showing their ultimate performance or fuel economy yet.

Peugeot are probably already lining up the excuses about the 908 being an older car design and how the Audi is still dodgy...

All that said, I'm hoping it will be a close one with some proper racing to enjoy.

heart says aston martin, but hopefully audi will regain their crown. car has looked good so far and glad to see them get some solid race time under their belts, unlike last year

I would like to see McNish win again but I have this nagging feeling that the Peugeots are still a bit faster and are now equally reliable.

I'm going to say, dry race, Peugeot win. Wet/mixed conditions, Audi will do it.

I think Audi will probably pull some ground back, as Peugeot have completed their objective really. Still rooting for them though. Come on you French layabouts!

Audi motorsport are spreading themselves a bit thin at the moment, however they have a point to prove after last year. I'm sort of with the all dry then pug, changable then audi. I would however like Aston to wip the floor with them wink

My prediction, based on no fascts or intellegence what-so-ever.

1st Audi
2nd Aston Martin

Not in this thread - this is a who will win, not come 4th (at best) poll.

Astons will probably win the unofficial LMP1P (petrol) class but have no realistic chance in LMP1D.

Audi all being well, wasn't a nice feeling being surrounded by smug Frenchists last year.

To be fair, that's not a very common situation, so give them a bit of leeway.... wink

Surely they're better than smug Germans?

Depends on the weather. The Peugeots are quick in the dry and the Audis faster in the wet. My money is on Audi though - they were well and truly stung last year and are after revenge.

was a beautiful sight last year when the broken peugeot came past mulsanne. not many smug frenchies or germans, but plenty of cheering brits!!

Love the sound of the Aston Martins! But reckon that Audi have the best chance of winning. Last year was a one-off for Peugeot I think.
