This should throw up a strange list.

Having been every year since 1993, the one car I would love to see again is the Sard MR2.
Mainly as it seemed a fairly mundane car to base a racer on.
What is it for you ???

I'd like to see/hear the Mazda 787b at full race pace, just to see if it's as loud as everyone says!

I was at Brands Hatch yesterday for the Masters Historic Festival. I'd love to see the CanAm and 60's/70's sports prototypes racers again - just as soon as my ears stop hurting!

The Panoz was a brilliant car. The loud side exit exhausts rivaled the Corvettes.

I'd like to see Aston back in GT1, so that the Corvettes have a strong rival and the Aston's can stand a chance at winning their class.

+1

There was a Kudzu Mazda racing the first year I went (1997) and it was ear-splittingly loud and had a permanent exhaust 'flame' which looked like a blow-torch !!

Also the Ferrari 333 which had a lovely sounding V12.

As I'm going to the Classic this year as well, I'm hoping to see the other cars I'd love to have seen at Le Mans back in their day, namely the Porsche 917 and some of the Ferraris.

I'm going for three!.

The Mazda 787b which I have seen/heard when it has appeared in Group C races in support of Le Mans, best sounding car ever.

The Ferrari 333 which was entered for the first few Le Mans races I attended but I've never seen since then, for its innovation, sound, looks.

And the lone Honda NSX entered in 1996, because for me one it was one of the most unexpected cars to be entered, and it finished (if my memory serves me well!)

Toyota GT-One for me, my first year was the year of the Mercedes flip and the unfulfilled potential of the GT-One. Panoz a very close second, but I don't miss the very annoying adverts on Radio LeMans "Sounds like thunder, goes like lightening...!"

Mazda and McLaren as above, plus I'll miss the Aston DBR9 GT1 when they go - love the look and the sound.

There are a few but certainly my memories of 95/96 would lead me to lust after:

McLaren f1
Viper's

but also Aston in gt1, Ferrari F40'. And in general some of the other factory LMP1 cars from Merc, Toyota etc
