Sitting in the stand on the Thursday evening after the drive down, with a beer in hand watching the amazingly quick cars blast through the start finish straight as daylight fades. Oh the noise..... drivingbiggrin

I agree, as the sun goes down anywhere is good around Le Mans,

The smell of the bar-b-que's
Meeting random strangers
Meeting people you have not seen for years

Just everything really.......

An annual opportunity to meet up with like minded (beer swilling) gents, and the unmistakable sound of the Vettes, even though I dislike all road going Yank mobiles normally.

Washing with a combination of baby wipes and deodorant, either that or a freezing cold shower at 2am like I had last year!

E36GUY, just seen the YouTube clip, how the hell did you get there?

A few years ago we were 20ft from the track in a fire marshalls post on the run down to Arnage, he let us stay for a hour and then (politely) asked us to move off. It was simply awesome, cars flat out, no armco, unbeliveable!

I want to be by the Porsche curves this year, how do you get there? There seems to be huge catch fencing everywhere

Last year a few of us troopsed through thick woodland to get by the straight between Indianapolis and Porsche curves , we managed to get up againsnt the arm co. Although it was dark it was still simply awesome.

And as already suggested I just enjoy the whole experience thoroughly the BBQ's , meeting other PHers etc is all part of LeMans to me.

The first time I went, I asked the doorman at your Beasurejour spot, that if I was to stumble into the woods and get lost, where would be the best direction to stumble in.

The man came up trumps.
