Classic Campsite Required

Its our first time doing Classic LeMans this year and we need somewhere to pitch a tent I notice most of you guys are with Speedchills but they are sold out! any recomendations? also the best sites to book through.

Similar situation - i'm completely confused by the camping options.

I booked car parking, then it says "you arent allowed to camp with your car". So you go to the camping section and it says "sold out". But they are still selling tickets to the event....so where do they expect people to go?

Certainly, camping in the car parks is frowned upon as there is always very little space at Le Mans 24 Hours, but in my experience there will be less cars at Le Classic and maybe you could risk it. But, please, don't camp on any of the accesways in the car park because this really does p**s people off if they cannot move freely in and out!

By the way, I've slept in the car in the car park on a number of occasions at Le Mans without any problems.

Feels like a bit of a con once you have shelled out for ticket, parking, paddock then you have to shell out another 200 quid a person to some third party just to pitch a tent!

Sadly i think two adults sleeping in an MR2 is a no-go!!

At Grand Prix before now ive just rolled up and found every farmer within a mile of the track is renting out their field. Is Le Mans the same? Im not paying a fortune to sleep in a tent for a few hours either side of beer and motorsport. Who needs to sleep anyhow? its only 2 nights.

Has anyone found anywhere that is just selling camping passes, rather than the whole package??

Tried contacting the venue, without success, no email response and no one on the phone lines....(although I did try at lunch, and I know the French like there 2 hour lunch break )...

Would love some feedback...

really helpful with advise on the camping side of things, we couldn't get in a couple of the sites 3 months ago as they had sold out, but they will certainly tell you what's left and the best place to be.

I have used Grandstand Motorsports. This will be my first classic too. I will be in Maison Blanche. I'm not sure if its just packages that they do, or if they can get you camping pitches?
