who decided that my trusty, rusty old tin lantern (that's been to LM with me on every trip since 2003) would be better off in their possession. This happened between Sunday 3am-7am in Houx campsite.

sorry to here this barry,we came back to our tents on houx about 2ish a.m.to find that some b@@@@@@ds had cutt the new fence and enterd in.people was coming in like the great escape,i say put the old wall back up and make it bigger with armed guards on top.as that new fence is to easy to get in,plus all our stuff is on full view to all the skums who spoil it.so we spent a good 30 mins fixing it with wire etc,glad to say that by the morning the make shift fix was still in place.
I saw that led on the grass next to the taps on the wall at houx as i was brushing my teeth sunday morning!, we were also in Houx and some theiving little pikey stole our Gas Bottle which luckily was pretty much empty but thats not the point! You would think that in a campsite with mainly Brits in you would be safe! But obviously not!

ahh, that might explain it then.... It's irritating but it won't spoil the overall excellentness (sic) of the trip. Next year I shall wire the replacement up to the mains

Assuming it wasnt an attack of conscience thanks to the guys that reurned most of it, we managed to find the other bits. Thing is they were of no use to anyone, 3 metre yellow banners with the motorclub logo on are not much use to anyone else.
One of our party had their wallet pick-pocketed on Friday during the pitlane free for all.
Houx was strangely 'quiet' this year, but that's not to say we didn't lock everything up when we went out. Apparently our next door neighbour had a bicycle stolen.
Slightly off topic, but did anyone think there were less pikeys about on Monday?

Our German neighbours had their bikes stolen from Carrefour too. They were double chained up, and still stolen
Such a shame.I had this nicked on Saturday night between 21.00 and 00.00.
No, not the wife, the beach shelter!! We put it up just past the Dunlop bridge and when we came back, there it was.....gone! Search around with a torch and not even a tent peg was left FFS!! Nothing of great value in it but it all adds up to almost £200.
I'm trying not to let it but it puts you off going back. We are going to the Classic next month though so hope that that trip goes OK.

I believe I saw that lantern on Sunday morning in Houx.. We were between the Franz Klammers and the entrance (twinned with Houx Annexe).. It was on the ground, discarded.
Damn had a good look round for it too, still replacement already ordered although it won't be the same...Camped in Houx - in/by the feature 'lake' 
and my kettle disappeared on Friday evening sometime, which was damn annoying cos' I needed my coffee late that night - I was soaked through!
Gets a bit tiresome having to lock everything away.
