After the race I cycled down to Porsche curves and was lucky enough to find a large (1M length)part of the rear underwing of the Corvette that had the incident with the Peugeot.
I can't believe how light it is, hmmm keep and mount on wall or fleabay?

Genuine question, why?

I've enough tat which I really should take to the tip without picking up bits at the side of the road. Then again, if some anorak saddo is willing to buy said flotsam................

If it was the rear wing/door/bonnet off the winning car you could be on to something.

1/2 a smashed up unrecognisable part from under a corvette that didn't finish the race.... Bin.

Why not exactly. I have a couple of small piece from the same Corvette as the OP, from the same incident. It's absolutely worthless from a financial point of view, however is a nice small momento of a great weekend away. It already resides in my display cabinet with my ticket and lanyard.

This year was my first Le Mans, and it was a great weekend. I'm never going to be one of the types that goes every year as repetition spoils events. I will go back again, of course.

Ive got the side air intake from the JLOC Lambo, found it up near Mulsanne, again it's probably not worth much financially but I'm sure it'll find a home on the garage wall!

I saw someone with the complete front bumper off one of the Ferraris!

All I got was a ball of rubber from the side of the track but its better than nothing.

I WAS going to try and get one of those 'playstation 3 Gran tourismo 5' signs near Tetre rouge the ones that are about 10metres long but didn't have any wire cutters on me at the time.
Believe me when I say 'WAS' because I thought it'd look great on my fence LOL
(and i'm daft/mad enough to try carrying it back to camp on bicycle)

Only a shed load of the new Le Mans plastic beer beakers... Think i might be onto a new craze. Got an armful when i went to one of the bars that had run out of Kronenburg and only had non alcoholic beer left. Took the opportunity to ask for cups only et voila!! Loads of the bloody things
