Did anyone take photos of the St Saturnin car show / Classic British Welcome?

Did anyone actually go to that? It seemed miles out of the way and you had to fight your way back through "Mad Friday" LeMans after so seemed way more hassle than it was possibly worth.

Rubbish! After driving all the way out there a few Km is of little significance!
I drove to St Saturnin in the morning, PH Mulsanne meet afterwards then took the car back to the campsite and tram to Le Mans centre for the drivers parade. Saw a few guys in high-spirits and kept them happy with a couple of burnouts. Didn't get any water squirted at me and had a very enjoyable day!

Went to the Classic British Welcome. It's not far from Le Mans, especially if you set the satnav to "shortest" and it was well worth it. The event is superbly organised and the selection of cars there was mind blowing. Corvettes were the themed marque this year, which despite being a little strange for a classic "British" welcome was never-the-less enthralling. Hearing the sounds coming from GT40's, classic Corvettes, TVR's, Ferrari's, Aston's etc., all in one place was worth the short hike up there. And we still got back to the campsite before too many loonies lined the streets!

Haha! Yes, I got ribbed for this too after being waved on into the car park, and then seeing 3 MX5's get waved in as I entered "a pied"

I thought it was excellent though - first year we have been to it. Will post my pics up once I get round to uploading them.

I went to Mulsanne meet and GBW - but seems I got my timing mixed up and went to Mulsanne first and GBW second - so didn't see any PHers ranting

And to think that was nearly a week ago already!! Uno I walked around the whole lot more than once and I still didnt get to see all the cars you photographed. Goes to show the GBW is has a constant flow of cars in/out all day long. I think thats what makes it such a good meet. That and the chilled out atmosphere

I was there in the morning, my Elise was on show last year, it was filthy and they waved that in.

I had a my fully stickered up S2000 this year, gleaming, looking good and got told to go in main parking area.

Then a dirty, red S2000 got waved in, along with an MGF! readit

Not too sure why that Seat was there either.
Someone was complaining that they let the cab in but not his damaged Evo. The cabs fits in quite well with 'classic British' I would have thought...

I went to Saint Saturnin on Friday morning and wish I had done so on previous years. It's marvelous the way a town in France (10km from Le Mans) throw their place open to us invaders and make it so interesting.
I sat in the cinema for a while and watched some of a film about the making of Le Mans the movie with Steve McQueen and was really pleased to chat with other petrolheads.

Here's a few of my photos of the more oddball/rare stuff I saw.

I'll definitely go back next year.
