High Points for me:
The whole weekend was great apart from these lows.
1. GT Corvettes not finishing or completing a 1-2 finish in class which they were on for before they hit troubles.
2. Beechdean Mansell's early retirement.
3. Peugeot not making more of a fight of it.
4. The #73 Corvette retiring from the lead of GT1.

High Points:
1. Touring Picardy on my bike this week
2. Beers with a bunch of friendly nutters in the Expo campsite on Sunday night
3. Four days excellent food and service at the Mercure Lisieux
Low Points:
1. Not actually getting to Le Mans until Sunday night as the mate I travelled over with on Thursday fell off his bike within an hour of arriving in France, broke his collar bone, and instead we spent 4 days holed up the aforesaid Mercure hotel waiting for his insurance company to arrange his repatriation.
2. Riding >300kgs of laden BMW motorbike down the steep slippery cobbled streets in Rouen in the rain on Monday - with a misted up visor.

The whole week was fantastic.
Great site with TL - pucker bar and food - Sky TV
Great racing, shame about Mansell, crap fight from Peugeot
GT racing at its very best - Vets and GT40'S Noise.
good to see the Jag and the BMW's there.
The "ready stop go" carts in the funfair, I still ache from them.
The biggest low was three of our group pulled over and fined €750
and banned on the spot for six months on the way home.

High Point, Going to Le Mans.
Low Point, Comming Home.
Absolutely, missing it still now.....Low Point, Comming Home.

I guess it's also mean and nasty to add that I'll be staying in a motorhome that weekend, with a fridge, freezer, TV, DVD player, shower, loo, double beds, etc., etc.

Suffice to say those luxuries will be very much enjoyed compared to the damp, leaking tent I endured for the main race !
