Best prices for getting over the water

Last year I ended up going with Norfolk Lines, Dover Dunkirk return, But this year the prices have gone up some what Anyone know of some good deals out there?

All the ferries I've looked at have gone up for this year, the one I'm after is £100 more than last year. Euro Tunnel looks good its £149 for a 5 day flexi return.

Prices are usually high at this time of year and tend to go down in the new year, rising again after Easter. The best ferry prices are usually a month or so before LM..with no bookings the ferry co's must get a bit twitchy and drop the prices. Tunnel prices tend to remain constant. The longer everyone can hold off the better it is for all...just a case of who blinks first if you see what I mean. While I will be checking the prices weekly from late Feb I don't expect to get the best price, and make a booking, until around late April-mid May as per previous years. So I wouldn't start getting into a panic over the ferries yet! Purely my opinion of course, based on Le Mans trips for the last 15yrs, but I'm willing to risk it...your call.

P&O out 2300 Wednesday = £35, Norfolk Lines back Monday 1601 = Euro26.

I might've gone Eurotunnel myself but trying to keep costs down for the group resulted in the above best options for me.

Tesco website to log in your clubcard vouchers and they send you a tunnel voucher. If you are quick they are worth 4 times the Tesco amount, but that is changing to three times pretty soon - sorry can't remember the date.

I've decided to go back to the Portsmouth - Caen route. Out Sunday return Monday

OK maybe £200 more but I'll be saving at least that in Petrol and Tolls
(May even save more with less speeding fines!!)

Yep, Eurotunnel/Tesco Clubcard vouchers is the way to go. My crossing is about £84, so it'll be £30 with the vouchers as I think the smallest denom you can redeem is £10.

Yep, you're right, it is £5. For my £84 ticket, £30 worth of vouchers is still the cheapest I can get though.

Does anyoe know if all the vouchers have to be in your name. I've got vouchers i could have from my sister, Mum & Dad and few mates that would quite easily equal the value i need for two crossings i need if someone could clear up if they have to be all in your own name?

On the back of the vouchers in front of me it states "valid for use only by recipient", so sadly I fear you're out of luck

Just got an email from P&O - if like us you were planning on travelling on the 2300 Wednesday 8 June, be aware that this sailing no longer exists... they have moved us to the later time of 2350 :-(
