Which Yellow Campsite?

Righto. Been three times to LM.

2001 in a coach when it was wet - no tent but built a temporary shelter overnight by the Porsche Curves - cold but fun (see below!).

2005 camping in Karting Nord

2007 camping in Blue Nord

But looking at the ACO site you can only get yellow campsite tickets. Which should I go for?

Depending on wether you can afford it, spend a little extra on a better campsite and £20 on a tent from Tesco's you might have a better time

Personally, I would wait until better campsites come up for sale on here, a thread will be started when people need to sell tickets because of group members dropping out etc etc. You should pick up tickets for the face value because on here its real fans helping others, unlike eBay where people will sell their mother if theres a profit in it

You could, as we did a few years ago, buy Beausejour tickets then wait for better ones to come up then sell your Beausejour tickets on. That way, at least you have some back-up tickets in case you cant get what you really want. Thees always someone who needs tickets

Beausejour will be available to buy when you turn up as may a couple of the other yellow sites.

Booked for Pincardiere this year as we will probably not arrive till late on Thursday and it isn't as far to the village as it would be from the back of Beausejour where we have ended up before - particularly important if my Dad is able to come with us to save him walking so far.

I was on Pincardiere last year and Dairon in 2009, They are good sites with showers and toilets which we didn't wait to long for.And the site held up very well to the very heavy rain last year unlike bausjour which got flooded in parts and the organisers were sending the flooded out campers to Pincardiere, I was on Blue nord in 2008 and the ques for the showere/toilet were horrendous.

The ony downside is the distance to the Village/Pits, but it's not as far as some would think, It is not much further from Karting Nord, as someone has said not as far as parts of bausjour and there is the free Puffing Billy train if you fancy waiting for it coming.

We took Bicycles with us the last 2 years and they are ideal to get around, Arnage corner is a 20 minute cycle and 5 minutes to the entrance of Maison Blanche, during practice and qualifying we used them inside the circuit to.

I have booked again for Pincardiere this year, I'm taking a road legal quad bike this year to get around, and will be venturing to Mulsanne corner for the first time, as taking a car there in all the traffic has put me off before.
