Hi guys,

I am going to the Le Mans Test this year but am not sure what the camping arrangements are?

Do they open campsites like mason blanche? If so is there any security?

Or are there any good sites near by that are good to stay at?

Thanks
Stephen

seem to remember in 2007 when i last went to the test day that there was mainly camping on the Bleu Nord site opposite start finish area and it was used for much of the parking too. Don't believe MB was being used though.

The ACO are planning to open the Houx campsite for the test weekend, but the price is yet to be confirmed. There will also be free parking on the outside of the circuit at Bleu, with potentially a inside circuit parking option too.

After the race that all goes, in most camp sites still lock all your items inside your car.
My advice park up your car at the campsite, do not move it till you go home.

As the there are some nice people not along the side of the track THE GAUNTLET I call it.
They will take great joy in attacking your car with water, etc trying to open your doors. It can get OTT sometimes around the track.

We've had a response back from our contact at the ACO today...

The facilites on the Houx campsite will be open, but they don't know if there will be "controleurs". However, Houx has a number of advantages over the camping that was available in previous years.

It used to be camping on blanc/bleu parking with absolutely no facilities and no security. On the Sunday morning cars were parked right up to our tent. Houx is inside the the circuit with a securely fenced perimeter, limited entry points and facilities.
