Er - like the practice on Wednesday and Thursday? Fabulous action, so you can go home of the Friday and have seen every car in qualifying.

we did just the Wed/Thurs and was excellent...free access to the grandstands, 8 hrs of qualifying action all good to me smile If you're clever you can get a mate to come down for the weekend and use your pitch, possibly making up some of the cost if you camp and they have a guranteed slot when the arrive

There's also the scrutineering on the Monday and Tuesday.

If you want to camp you have to pay a daily fee in addition to the face-value of the ticket for every night before Wednesday, they also write the vehicle registration number on the ticket when you first arrive so you'll have to blag things to hand the ticket to someone else.

we did the swap without issue last year...asked the guys on the gate at Houx Annexe as we left and they said no worries. guess its down to whether they are a jobsworth or not but worked for us.

Scrutineering is now Sunday and Monday,

From last year you dont have to pay any extra for turning up early, This year you can turn up from Sunday prior (10am) no extra charge on your camping pass.
They dont write your registration on the ticket (they have never done this to me or any other of our club members cars) and we have been on several different sites over the years.

They've done it on Houx since they switched to the non-sticky barcode scanned passes.

Good news on the free nights camping though as it was annoying to pay a free extra Euros when you arrived on a Tuesday evening.

Bloody inconsiderate clashing with le mans.

Suppose for the die hard it still gives some of the le mans fix, but the painful bit will be driving away knowing the main event is still to come.

But then it will be better than missing the whole lot.... how close are you to the happy couple?! ahem.... bit poorly that weekend... sorry we missed the wedding!

You could even get in the drivers parade and then drive through the night if you have to be back for saturday night.
