Trailers and le mans
Discussion
Hey everyone, new here just looking for a bit of advice. Second year am going to lemans now and taking 4 others with me. Due to having 5 people in a saloon its gonna be a bit tight this year so am considering on taking the trailer and roof box. Are there any laws in France i should know about when towing one at all? Cheers.
I'm going to be taking a trailer as well so you won't be alone! Fortunately, I'm picking one up from my parents place in Normandy so I can fill it full of 'essentials' before I get close to Le Mans and drop it off empty when I'm on the way back.
I've towed loads of times in France and looking at some of the rubbish the locals pull around, can't see any of their laws being much tougher than ours but I'm ready to be corrected on that one.
As for security, I'm putting it INSIDE the tent!

The ferry company will charge a bit more for the roof box too, but you probably knew that
I booked with P&O this year and was given the same price for the X5 with roof box as I was for the 318D touring on its own. It is a very early sailing so this might make the difference.
