I usually try and stay away from car supermarkets and such, but i've seen a nice 3-series at their brance in cardiff. Pictures are all good quality and the website seems decent enough and the price is good.

I know they have brances in doncaster and swindon too.

Im about 5 hours away from cardiff, so dont want to waste time getting there to find a salesman trying to sell me a dodgy warranty from a caravan at the side of the road.

Anyone got experiance?

Bought a car from Car Shop in Swindon on the basis of the px value they offered me for my Audi. Let's just say I won that one. The rest of the process was horrible. Pushy, aggressive salesman, direct lies about what they had in stock ("no we don't have any Fabias in at the moment" / "interesting, I'm standing next to three of them"), massive hard sell on paint protection, diabolical after sales (including more blatant lying).

If they have exactly what you want and you go in with your wits about you, you might get a decent deal.

I felt genuinely intimidated and trapped in the vast showroom with only one way out: buy something.

Afternoon all. I'm looking at a car through these guys and the reviews are a huge mixed bag - does anyone have personal experience?

Would never buy from there, but only because I don't like their sales technique.

They sit you down when you enter, treat you like you have the mental capacity of a 12 year old and will only let you see cars once they have finished interrogating and 'helping' you.

Yes, just don't

Their whole model seems to be pushing cars on those who can't afford them

And from what i saw, their stock is garbage. The stuff they can't sell at the regular EH branches presumably.

I had looked at a car for the Mrs there, and to be fair had found a diamond in the rough. All was going well with the nice salesgirl, until she was replaced by an utter bellend who tried to close the sale. His pushy approach, followed by "can't you afford it" attitude was OTT even for a used car salesman. Figured it better to leave before i punched him in the face.

Been to the Warrington one before lockdown. As someone said above, you have to sit down and give them your life story first, and be pushed towards their finance, before they'll let you see the car. I went to look at 2 completely different cars, the first one the salesman stood outside and let us have a look around the car, the second one he got straight in the passenger seat and said "what do you think, do you want it then?", as soon as I sat in it myself.

I said I can't make that decision without test driving, but as usual there was no petrol in it, so I left it. I got a load of phone calls over the next few days about the car, asking did I want to buy it, and then got a bking off the girl on the phone when I said there was no petrol in it - "YOU COULD HAVE WAITED WHILE WE WENT AND GOT PETROL FOR YOU" (which is true, but no idea how long that would have been).

I'd only go to a carshop if there's no other available anywhere else.
