I bought my focus st off them, traded in my fiesta st, pleasant to deal with, contact all way through the sale and got a bargain, only problem i had was after the sale was complete he didnt want to know my problem with the locking nut, which was left there

Very old post but wanted to share some experience here.

Used these guys to sell my Turbo’d GT86 (they offered a reasonable price, and selling a modified car privately seemed a pain). All seemed fine, they came on a Tuesday night, loaded up the car, transferred over the V5, though when it got to payment they gave me their word it would go through first thing Wednesday morning (I now feel a tad embarrassed writing that last bit).

They then proceeded to withhold payment for 2 days, ignored all my calls (to the point I had to use my wife’s phone to get through to them), and then tried to take money off for reasons including:

- A scuff on the rear bumper, which I had told them about/sent them pictures of (had to send them screenshots to prove this)
- I didn’t have the invoice to hand for the turbo (I’ve since got hold of this, and I don’t see this as a reason not to pay me!?)

They’ve paid me eventually (less £200, which I’ve taken as a lesson not to deal with them again), but just a heads up to be wary with these guys.

Sorry to hear about your mess about. I bought an STI from them about 5 years ago and sold it back to them 2 years later for pretty much the same price, couldn’t fault either experience tbh. The only issue when I sold my car back to them I didn’t realise the MOT had ran out a few days before so Mark (the owner) said he’d keep £500 back until it was MOT’d in case anything was wrong and if not send it over. Within a week the extra £500 was in my account as car was immaculate. Mark was still running everything then but think has employed a few people and taken a more backseat now.
