Small car with electronic handbrake

My mum has arthritis and changing gear and applying the handbrake are becoming harder for her. So, I'm searching for a new car for her with 3 criteria: small (easy); automatic (easy); and with an electronic handbrake as an option (far harder). Small hatchbacks (VW Up! Kia Picanto size) is the kind of vehicle, but the electronic handbrake option seems to be available only on much larger cars. Any help gratefully received!

Due to problems with her shoulder my wife struggles with changing gear, so planning to get an auto.
I've told her exactly this. Just put it in park.
She wont fking have it.

I'd lined up 4 cars to look at tomorrow, and i leave her alone with her sister for 30.minutes, and now i have to find a petrol automatic under 5500 quid with an electric parking brake.
I actually cant find any. There is no way to filter that.

I believe some, if not all, Priuses have a foot operated parking brake.

Does the Vauxhall Adam have one?

The A Class has an electric handbrake, same with some Audi A3s and Golfs. None of the city cars will have one as they're quite complex.

Ah, apologies I missed that. Well a Renault Scenic has an electronic handbrake - don't know if that's too big but it'll fit the bill in every other way. The Citroen C4 Picasso has one too and is available in budget. Neither are huge but have a high driving position if that's important, but are bigger than your standard supermini.

I don’t think I have ever used the handbrake on an automatic & I have had Autos as daily car for 20 years, you just need to educate her as to how an auto works in Park.

Okay. So this i tried. So did car salesmen.

The other car we found in our price range was a mk6 2010 to 2012 astra 1.6
Saturday involved going and looking at an astra. A scenic a C4 piccasso and an A150 with normal handbrake.
The places we went were the most dodgy back street places in Bolton, Blackburn,Bury and Accrington.
The scenic was a health hazard. Did not even sit in the dirty seats. The piccaso too big. The A150 had s normsl handbrake. She could not use it. I have gone with her mental block.on this. Its her car. She needs to be happy.

So a plan was made to find the best astra.
The one wed seen had not done the 50k miles the dealer said it had. A more patchy service history ive not seen. Full.my arse. It had an oil leak too.

So the p0lan was to go to.Braford where an Elite wss for sale. Because leather and gadgets.
And if no good drive to West Bromwich to see a 40k astra.
Until i was looking at the specs on Parkers and happened on a light (healthy piss) green metalic, own owner 36k bottom.of the range car in a Franchised Vauxhall deaer in the northwest. Only 1 hour away instead of 2.

Wife hates the colour. Pick.it up.on Wedneday.
36k 2011 car with steel wheels and one stamp in the service book for every year at the same dealership.

The parking brake is electric and wife is therefore happy. Its gor cruise control, so im happy. (She wont use it, but if i have to drive it, i will)

You can get adaptations for manual handbrake to make them easier to apply and release, the way it is gripped can be changed, you can have lever systems to press the button, there are many things that can be fabricated to make it easier to operate.
