Diesel Automatic Estate Suggestions

Hi folks,

I'm looking to replace my boring diesel Astra - it seems to be on its last legs these days and I need a car a lot for work so I'm looking to replace it soon.

I was originally looking at Mercedes C220 or C250 AMG Sport estates. They appeal because they look great, get excellent MPG, but can also be fun to drive. However the price tag is a little hot for me at £16-18k for an AMG Sport with 30-40k miles.

So I'm looking for suggestions for something similar but in the £10-11k region. Ideally an estate that gets 40+ MPG and is diesel, automatic with cruise control and sat nav. Have been struggling a bit so would like to see what you come up with!
