Here we go, yet another what car thread. But this is for me but awkward.

Looking for a car that is diesel up to £2500. My Scenic only does 29MPG but this maybe due to a) auto b) 1.6 petrol c) driving it hard.

Now if it was me I would have a 3L turbo nutter thing that only did 3MPG but due to it being a joint car and for work I cannot do that.

I am really looking at an estate or 4x4 as I hate small cars. Partner loves small cars and she likes her Corsa and points out that it's pointless getting something that does the same or less MPG than what I am getting now.

Plus we need a larger car as that will be used for long trips, shopping and taking crap to the tip so no point having the same size as her Corsa.

Not keen on anything like Kia. I did look at something like a SAAB estate or Volvo but their they were manual not auto.

Must be at least a hatchback. Pref auto. Yup that is my budget so makes it harder as well.

So over to you.
