Im very tempted by the new Duster 4x2 auto 110 1.5dci and would like to know is this engine a good reliable unit, how often does it need a cambelt change and has this auto edc gearbox been used in other cars before..

The Duster seems to be the ideal car for me and as i keep my cars for well past their warranty expiry date id like to know im making the right decision so any info would be great..

thanks

It uses the 1.5 DCI Renault engine which has been around forever, it's used in the Renault/Dacia/Nissan range in most models.

EDC gearbox has been around for a few years now, is used in Clio/Megane/Captur/Kadjar in the Renault range and has been very reliable, not quite as quick as a DSG box but no slouch.

Cambelt is every 5 years/60k on dusters IIRC (I can check tomorrow)

Ask anything else if you need answers.

Demos should be with dealers at the very end of December.
