Some two pence for a Monday afternoon. I went to view a car last week, it looked ok but not perfect, agreed a price and did all the paperwork. Car then wouldn't start up again and despite numerous attempts and jump leads it wouldn't burst into life.
So he returned the money and he said he would call me when he got it running again. I had officially bought the car. So off I went, all the paperwork was completed and next day I phoned, no answer, two days, no answer. Then today I find out he's sold the car to someone else.
Does agreeing to buy something mean absolutely nothing to some people anymore. I signed the V5 so not sure how he got around that, tippex probably.
It's easy to say I probably dodged a bullet and a similar car will pop up soon but I am slightly gutted at the lack manners.

I would definitely consider it a bullet dodged though, rather than being gutted.
Got no idea I was always under the impression a deal was a deal. If he wanted more why agree a price in the first place.I would definitely consider it a bullet dodged though, rather than being gutted.
Private seller so not much you can do, you live and learn.
