Hi
About to go and look at this and really need some advice regarding what the mot history is showing.
Basically it failed on the following in April 2012 then passed in April 2012 (I would like to think that all issues fixed) but then it failed again in 2013 for the same thing.
Is this due to it having twin exhaust?
Sorry for being dumb if it is!!
Last year it had an advisory for small gas leak...should I be concerned?

offside rear coil spring broken (2.4.C.1a)
nearside Windscreen wiper does not clear the windscreen effectively (8.2.2)
offside Windscreen wiper does not clear the windscreen effectively (8.2.2)
Exhaust emissions Lambda reading after 2nd fast idle outside specified limits (7.3.D.3)

Here is the car

Thanks for any advice you can give!!

A leak on the exhaust could affect the emmisions test. Ask the seller if it's been sorted. It was designed with a twin tailpipe exhaust so that won't be an issue.

Hi
I spoke with him and he said that the back box was the issue and it's been welded up.
My worry is why it's happened 3 times?
Could it be something more sinister? Worst case scenario et?

Take an obd reader with you and see if there are any other codes.

But it's only 2750 so not that big a risk in the grand scheme of things. Maybe price in a new exhaust and lamda sensor when negotiating price?

Replace it with a cobalt stainless steel box, about £200 not overly loud and great quality.
