My heart was set on a GLC it seemed to be a good size and looks great, interior is good and everything else. But due to the issue they are having with turning it has put me right off.

Initially I wanted an SUV but I would be open to an estate (the golf r has caught my eye), but I am not sure what to choose, I am looking to buy it outright and my budget is around £25-£30k.

I'd like it to have things like rear parking cameras, good sound system and heated seats but thats my only main criteria.

I am open to petrol or diesel, but probably leaning to petrol as I dont do more than 10-12k miles a year

Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks

I'd look at a high spec Skoda Superb Estate . Very well equipped and the interior quality is impressive.
The Kodiaq would be worth a look too.

If you don't like the idea of a Skoda how about a high spec Mazda CX-5

Thanks for the suggestions, I think the RS3 is out of the question as its not really got the space I would need although it would be a great car to have!

I was thinking of an SUV or estate for some extra boot space. I thought the Golf R estate was the perfect mix of practicality and fun.

I havent looked into the mazda but I'm not keen on a Skoda (call me a snob!).

Any other suggestions are welcome

The 'new' X1 looks pretty good to me. You'd surely get a very nice one for your budget.

If you haven't sat in one then you should do before you write it off.

Fair enough!

I want something quick if possible, someone suggested an sq5 but it's relatively high in mileage. Wanted something a year to two years old. I know I am asking for alot!

The RS Q3 will be around 2014 with around 14-18k on the clock.

Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Only a 3.0D so not going to set the world alight (unless you go for a previous generation SRT8) but loads out there with a lot of kit on them.

I was assuming you were looking for new - hence the Skoda and Mazda suggestions.

How about:

Peugeot's new 3008 SUV, probably the GT line with leather and the 1.2 130bhp petrol engine or the 1.6 165bhp petrol, falls right into your price range though the heated seats are an optional extra, the rest is standard.

The 3008 is a good option and gets good reviews but they're all pretty slow compared to RS3s, SQ5 etc.
