Hi,

Well I've just recently sold me E92 M3 and placed a deposit on a house. I use the train to get to work but I need to drive to the station. I can't think of something that's going to fit the bill right. Can anyone recommend me a car? The car will NOT even get warm, it is a 2.5 mile journey - please don't shout and scream at me. I need something that's going to be reliable, and all of these will be financed (all my money went to a deposit).

I've thought about:
EP3
R32
1 Series
2 Series
3 Series
Meganne sport
Corsa VXR (brand new)

If financing I would go for a decent example of an EP3 or the new Vauxhall. Seems a safer bet reliability wise, personally it would do my head in if a car I was paying finance on threw up lots of big bills.

Errr... if it's just a station hack there's only 1 logical choice, a 10 year old NIssan Micra, the cockroach of the car world.

£500 cash, don't service it, just get in in the the morning and drive, for as long as you need, then sell on for £500. biggrin

Exactly, I don't want any big bills.

It's a station hack but it'll also be used day-to-day.

If you're going to the station with it the car will suffer lots of small dents if you're putting it in a car park everyday.

I'd spend less buy something a year old with a balance of the manufacturer's warranty on it.

This car seems to be one of the best deals as far as hot hatches go:

2016 Kia Pro-Ceed GT 201bhp 6 years worth of warranty left.

Mk1 MX5, still fun, go forever, cheap to buy / run / service.

I wish I had kept mine.

Be careful giving out autotrader links, the link contains your postcode, I would edit your post. Are these Kia's available below £200 a month?

Don't worry that's not my postcode wink I'm not sure but if not I'm sure they'll do one that will.
