What cars thread
Discussion
All,
Another what car thread i am afraid. With a recent addition to the stable of a new born it's time to re-think the car options - and i have hit a bit of a brick wall.
The missus loves her BMW 114i, but it needs to be returned (no option), and she thinks my BMW E91 estate is to big.
I am trapped between the idea of a chieftain tank and something else.. needs space for walking gear, road/mountain bikes, decent long distance driving for motorways, Ok. around Manchester, and incorporating her idea of a small car feel.
Probably will finance something via PX for the E91, and cash injection to make 10k deposit. Probably looking at 300-500 a month maybe. I don't need anything PH... i have a motorcycle. We will do probably 10k miles a year - if that.
Ideas on a post card? Evoque? Discovery? X5? Tiguan? Toureg? ?!
TIA.

When our kids were young (three of them) and we needed practical transport we ended up with a second generation Espace - one of the main reasons I liked it was you could take the seats out and there was enough room for a couple of trials bikes.
It wasn't a bad motor to drive either (though not the most reliable as it got older). The modern equivalents are probably a lot better - when you've experienced that level of practicality and got used to it, it's hard to go back.

I'd say a Ford Edge/S Max in Titanium spec should fit your requirements.
Here's an idea of the specs both should be available well within your monthly budget, also consider these in Vignale trim too.
