Volvo V70 D5... to buy or not to buy?

Folks,

Currently borrowing a Honda CRV for a few mompnths whilst a mate is abroad and really enjoying having lots of space, chucking fridge freezers in the back etc. Have been on the hunt for a replacement.

I had a driving assessment at work today and used a 2009 v70 d5 and was really impressed. Oodles of torque and a lovely bark from the engine. Handling pretty good for a wardrobe on wheels and confidence inspiring to drive *very* fast.

Any big howlers to look out for? Also, is the geartronic box any good?

Might end up with a 3 litre petrol tho.

My thinking about diesel is mainly economy wise, but also because it's got a lovely slug of torque. May need to try a petrol too.
