Car is a JDM Legacy E Tune Revision 'D'.

Has the common issue of rust appearing down near arch/sill. Any lurker knows to walk away at this point.

Imported back in 2011. Car has always been local to me; I used to see the previous owner pootling about in it. New owner is adamant he won't budge on the price - wants what he paid for it. He bought the motor 3 weeks ago; prefers auto.

Does it come away in your hand? Honestly it just looks like a wee bit of surface rust, hardly the end of the world. Although I would be skeptical of a private seller who refuses to budge at all on price, I tend to walk on principle at that point. biggrin

Prefers autos and cars without rust. You would have thought he would already sussed the auto thing, so that just leaves the rust.

3 weeks? Wonder if he's discovered something more sinister and wants rid?

I was also slightly annoyed when he said he wouldn't budge.

Really not sure, MOBB.

Here's another shot of the sill:

The rust appears to be coming through the sill. It didn't flake when touched.

Do the arches look fixable? What about the sill? What would be the rough cost of having the sill replaced?

Thoughts/opinions very welcome.

Is the car priced correctly to start with?

If it didn't have this rust to contend with.
