Hi all,

I'm between cars at the moment and have 3 months before my new car arrives - anyone know of a good place to hire cars for longer terms? Expedia showing £700 a month for a Fiesta!

Thanks

If it were me, I'd sooner buy a cheap but older car for say £500, then sell it after 3 months.

As you asked, you'll find it's around a third cheaper to just hire one from Enterprise - it'd be around £120 a week for a Fiesta (so circa £1500 for 3 months).

You could always ring and haggle a deal, though.

You're on PH. Buy a £500 snotter, use it for 3 months and then sell or scrap. Will save you hundreds even if you scrap it, plus it will be fun.

Try apex rental, otherwise thrifty have a long term rental tab, it usually excludes vat and insurance. Sometimes it's best to call and get them to quote you.

Browse the classifieds for your nearest XJ8 for around £1k, don't look underneath it but make sure everything works.

Waft around for 3 months absolutely loving it and be a bit sad when your new car arrives and you have to sell it.

Worked for me smile

Hertz do a long term program - £370 / month for a Fiesta, £460 for an Octavia, £770 for an A4 (all prices exclude insurance and VAT). https://www.hertz.co.uk/p/hertz28/vehicle-guide.
