Buying over 150k miles
Discussion
Are you speaking from experience?
I'm looking at something for £5k with 150k on the clock. I just fancy trying it and will probably get bored in 6-12 months if the past is anything to go by.
Of course I'll lose a bit on it but I don't want to take a bath.
Will the majority think it's past its usable life by then?

Well it should be a bit cheaper than other similar models on sale with lower mileage I'm guessing?I'm looking at something for £5k with 150k on the clock. I just fancy trying it and will probably get bored in 6-12 months if the past is anything to go by.

That will allow you to price it a bit cheaper than the equivalent model on sale in ~12 months time. There will always be someone looking for a bargain and if your car is priced lower than the rest someone will snap it up.

Somewhere in the middle I would say
I've been looking at those recently, and reasonably high mileage ones too. It's a fairly niche car so you'd hope that people looking at them will be a bit knowledgeable and know that they will wear the miles better than just about anything else. If you're willing to pay £5k for it then I would expect that someone out there will pay not much less than that it in a year's time - after all it's only going to have a fraction more miles on it. The only thing that could significantly dent the value is if it's due a major service when you come to sell - as I understand it not cheap on these. Who knows, I may be interested myself!Somewhere in the middle I would say
