I'm looking for BMW Z4 Coupe alternatives. You know, long swooping bonnet, coupe roof, short deck, 2 seats, RWD. Bigger engine like the inline 6 is good too. About same price range give or take. Only thing I could think was the last RX7. But don't want a wenkel. Any others I'm overlooking?

Why don't you want a Z4C?

Anyway have you considered a 350Z?

I like half of the Z4c, but I don't know if I can live the the other half I don't like.

The 350Z is a bigger and heavier car. I was trying to stay smaller like the Z4c or RX7.

A 370Z would suffice I'd have thought.

350z or Boxster (or Cayman if you can stretch to it).

There are limited options which meet those criteria, which were pretty similar to mine. I looked at the z4 hardtop convertible as well but then I started looking at Caymans...

Cayman is mid engine. I asked long bonnet short deck so it will need to be front engine.

Boxter same and is a roadster on top of it. I asked coupe.

370Z is smaller than 350z a bit but it is still a larger car. But so far seems like the best option. Although aren't they more expensive normally?

You can get hard tops for the Boxster that essentially make it a coupe, but if you aren't happy with the bonnet length, it's a no-go.

Supra
Jag X100 XK(8/R) (has 4 seats, but only 2 are functional)
Chrysler Crossfire
3rd Gen Camaro
C4 Corvette
5th Gen Mustang

There aren't that many alternatives based on your criteria when you think about it - so just by a Z4C and be done.

I did.

Which half do you like, the drivers side or the passenger side?

I like the rear of the car, the side profile with the coupe roof and the general proportions of the car.

I don't like the sharp edges and also don't like the interior.

I hate the front.

That is interesting you not liking the interior because when looking for my Z4C, I looked (mainly online) at many otherwise nice example that were let down by the interior. The interior can look very basic and minimalist if it is not a well specced example. Mine however is a very nice place to be.

If you feel that strongly then you might be better looking at something else.

I think the Z4C is one of the best looking normal cars of recent years, and it's relatively rare. Trouble is they have dreadful steering and tramline all over the place. Or at least the 2 i test drove back in 2008 did. Great engine though.

The 350/370z has much better steering and ride, and plenty of grunt. But they are also just a bit too heavy, and don't work on a b road blast, that's why i sold my 350z.

The Cayman is the best sports car of the 3, but costs more to buy and run. S2000 definitely worth a look, but needs careful geometry set up and engine needs work, which is not a bad thing on a sports car.
