The much loved Evora 3.5 really isn't a daily, as much as i'd stupidly like it to be. So we need another car to help out.
Honda Legend. Chrysler 300 3.0 TD. Audi A8 4.2 TD.
All three available locally at a fraction of the new price with 60-70,000 miles covered. Which is the best buy and why?
The Chrysler is well down on power but the value for money used is plain mad.

Not a diesel like some of your mentions but this or something like it would be my choice, powerwafting at its best and change from £10k.

It's a comfortable luxurious powerful used saloon and over £9k so it fits the bill smile

Brave to throw that kind of money at a Honda Legend eek

I'd have a look at the higher end Volvo's (S80, V70's) at that level. If your not worried about fuel/depreciation £15k gets you in something like this

If you want "bang for your buck", then these are all worth looking at:

- Honda Legend (as you've already identified).
- VW Phaeton
- Skoda Superb
- Lexus LS4xx
- Volvo S80
- Citroen C6

If you can't find something you like out of that lot, there's no pleasing you! biggrin

Just been through exactly the same for a 2nd car to partner the V8V.

I ended up with another Q7 for a few reasons but if I had gone executive, it was a close call between a BMW 730D and Mercedes CLS. (also tried 5 series, FFRR, RRS, S class,A8, A6, Phaeton, Lexus, Volvo, Toureg etc)

Lot of choice in the budget!

Well i bought a Honda Legend today and unless first impressions are blinding me by way of new car excitement this has to be THE used car bargain of all time. Nothing else comes close for bang per buck that i know of. It's a 2009 in silver with 58,000 miles and 2 owners. Fantastic standard spec including 4WD. Super interior, great ride quality and as silent inside at 30 as it is at 80. Add in Honda's known reliability and bullet-proof reputation for their engines (i also have a 2011 Honda S2000) and i see no weakness. Okay the excellent V6 petrol engine likes a drink it would seem at around 23 mpg so far and the gearbox has only 5 ratios as well as being slower to change than the latest stuff, but a £38,000 car when new, with these low miles and in this condition for £8,500 has to be right up there with anything for VFM, surely?
