Hi guys,

After looking at Golf GTI's R's and S3's I've narrowed my search down to an RSQ3. Reason being a unique 5 cylinder engine, size, rarity and price/value for money. I have a few questions though:

1. What are the must have options?
2. Is the facelift 15 model, worth the additional £6k over a pre-facelift 14 model?

Thanks!

Hi mate,

My sister has a RSQ3 and after driving it a number of times I was actually quite impressed. RS Audi's which I have driven and owned myself were a bit nose heavy and tended to understeer when pushing on. Don't get me wrong the RSQ3 will still lean more to understeer but it just seems to not be as bad as say the original RS3.

Must have options are basically up to what you really want in the car. My sister cars is fully loaded with sat nav sports plus adaptive suspension and rear camera etc. which were popular according to the salesman when she bought it. Obviously with an RS you get a number of good options which are standard. I would imagine sat nav would be a must as it is in most cars.

Personally for the differences between the 2014 and 2015 model I would say for the limited changes it is not worth the extra £6k if that is the difference. Yes it was supposed to be a bit better hear and there but not that much.

If you want a slight increase in power which you get with the 2015 model I would look at having the cars ECU upgraded and perhaps a sports exhaust if your into this sort of thing. The 2.5 sounds wonderful anyway but the sports exhaust makes it sing.

The biggest issue with the RSQ3 is the RS3. You can get the RS3 for less than the RSQ3. It all depends whether the higher ride is something you feel you would prefer.

Lastly my sis is looking to sell her car. Most Audi garages I have contacted to see if they were interested were not interested stating "it was never that good a seller for us. Had it been a RS3"

Don't want to put you off as it could just been dealers being dealer to get the car for much less but this was mentioned by fives dealerships up and down the UK.

She is basically just handing the car back now once the PCP is up.

Out of interest could you tell us her PCP deal? Thanks
