New company car - 1 Series / Golf

Afternoon Gents

Ok so company car time.

I have narrowed it down to the 125i / 125d or Golf GTD/GTI (as its a bargain)

Now on the 1 series BMW, i only do about 10 miles to work and back but the reviews on the 125d are always full of praise, is the 125i any good?

Re; the Golf, i would take the GTI over the GTD as they are similar money and tax.

Company pays for the fuel so mpg isnt an issue.

Golf GTi for me but both are very good cars. No need for the diesel on either with such low mileage.

Go and have a few test drives and see which you like best.

I'm test driving a 120d this weekend, just to see what they are like even though its the lower powered diesel (ive driven the 320d and 520d before). I do like the look of the new GTI i must admit and i know i dont do many miles.

The 1 series is over budget so i would be putting more money on top of what my employer puts in but the GTD and GTI are bang on the money!
