Seven-seater for Spain
Discussion
My Mum wants to replace the Zafira A she has in La Marina (Costa Blanca). I was wondering if any PHers know of any car sales places they could recommend - preferably somewhere between Alicante and San Javier. She's after a LHD petrol automatic seven-seater but there don't seem to be many around. Last time she bought in England and drove it over but she'd rather get one out there this time - and she has a part-exchange too now. She'll spend around £15k - or slightly more if necessary.
We have family and friends in that area who we visit regularly have the use of one their cars. They and a number of their friends drive new Kia's bought from M.Gallego in Murcia who are the main agents. No language issues, have taken their old cars as trade ins, dealt with regular servicing and any required warranty work without issue. Sorted the Father in law with a really good deal so he could benefit on a scrappage scheme a few years back.
A Carens may fit the bill, my partners Uncle has a 2017 one and it is a nice car, new prices vary in Spain depending on how you buy so not sure if you can haggle a new one in budget with the trade in. A used one will likely still have the balance of its 7 years manufacturers warranty, a quick look shows they have some nearly new Carens listed in budget but no Automatico versions. http://www.mgallego.com/es/vehiculos-ocasion?marca...
Lots of Brits now buying Kia/Hyundai as the cars have long warranties, cheap, long term servicing packages and most dealers have English speakers in sales. Buying a newer car also saves dealing with the ITV test etc. Makes having a reliable, solid car very easy for the ex pats. The cars are also pretty good too nowdays.
